Me Versatile?
By definition, I guess I am!
Defined by YourDictionary.com: competent in many things; able to turn easily from one subject or occupation to another; many-sided; adaptable to many uses or functions
The Versatile Blogger Award I have received comes with rules:
1. Thank the person who loved me enough to bestow this gift.
2. Share seven things about myself.
3. Bestow this honor onto 10 newly discovered or followed bloggers – in no particular order – who are fantastic in some way.
4. Drop by and let my fifteen friends know I love them.
----------
1 ... It is a pleasure to accept The Versatile Blogger Award bestowed upon me and my blog by my friend and fellow Versatile Blogger, Beverly Stowe McClure of The Story of a Writer. Thank you Beverly!
2 ... Seven things I share about me:
I am a poet/writer/author/designer who enJOYs using these gifts to spread a bit o' sunshine into the lives of others.
While a part of me always seeks completion, the other part of me accepts the process of just "being."
I am a believer of the power of the sun; I believe in a Universalistic Sun Worship. When you visit the info link, please read all 6 principles of Universalistic Sun Worship carefully to really understand what this means to me, for the 6th principle brings me to...
I believe John 3:16 (KJV) -- For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
I abhor violence and hatred toward any living thing, including those who seem filled with hatred and violence themselves.
I believe mankind has the right to dominate the earth and its offerings; I also believe mankind should do so responsibly and lovingly.
I believe there are 3 key ingredients to all relationships: love, trust, and respect; the least of these is love. I can love another all I want, but if I do not trust, nor respect that person, love will not bind the relationship; however, trust and respect can be the ties that bind a relationship when love is not present.
3 ... And now the links to the fantastic Blog Friends I'll pass this award forward to:
Karen -- Karen's Love and Writing
Brenda -- Fiction With A Purpose
Kim -- Kimberly Blackadar's Blog
Sheila -- Sheila Deeth Blog
Christine -- Redhead Rants
Susan -- Poétique-Poetry-Dichtung
D -- A New Beginning: 2010
Sarah -- Cult of Deception
Dianna -- Love and Writing
Lisa -- Writing on Thin Ice
4 ... As each of the above-mentioned recipients places The Versatile Blogger Award in their own acceptance blog post, I'll be sure to drop a bit o' sunshine love in a comment on their post.

We have a saying in England that buses always come in threes. I wonder if the same applies to blog awards. Anyway, many thanks for including me Ruth, and I'll try to catch up on visiting all the other award recipients too.
ReplyDeleteThat's interesting in England you say buses... we say deaths... I like your bus saying much better, Sheila!
ReplyDeleteAnd I do have 3 blogs and this is your 2nd award from me... so a 3rd is a possibility, hahaha!
I'll be around soon to see who you're passin' the award to..:-)

ReplyDeleteThanks very much for alerting me to the Universalistic Sun Worship Six. I would have quoted them in my book Sun of gOd, had I known about them. In it, I examine solar consciousness in the light of solar science and they are a good fit. It's the biggest elephant in the room and the missing piece of the cosmic jigsaw puzzle.
The book features in the New Animist blog the same day I saw your USW reference.

I could ask my publishers to send you a review copy.
Gregory, I'd be honored to have a copy of your book! Thank you! I'm headed to your blog and website now to learn a bit about you and your book.

ReplyDeleteYou're quite welcome on both counts, Lisa!
ReplyDeletewhat a great list.I especially like "I abhor violence and hatred toward any living thing....." There's so much violence that sometimes so often I find myself running in the woods alone to feel His presence....and the touch of His love. Thanks too for chosing my site. You're the best!!! Sarah.
ReplyDeleteYou're quite welcome and thank you Sarah!
ReplyDeleteHello, my friend... It's been a while. I was pleasantly surprised by your sweet award. It will take me a while to get back into the groove of things. I will start with my blog. Hopefully, soon.
ReplyDeleteHope all is well. Thinking of you and my friends at Gather.
Yes, D, it's been awhile, but I am delighted to see you are back!
